The Shenendehowa baseball team used a seven-run second inning to propel itself to a 14-4 victory over Shaker in Friday’s Suburban Council North Division game at Joseph Bruno Stadium.
Shaker (6-2 league, 7-2 overall) built a 4-0 lead in the top of the second inning before Shen pulled ahead for good. The Plainsmen (7-1, 9-1) added two runs in the third inning and five in the fifth to put the game away.
Brennan McCormack had three hits, including an RBI double in the second inning, and Justin Yurchak contributed two hits and three RBI for Shen.
Steven Cox belted a two-run double, and Tyler Hoffman contributed a solo home run for Shaker.
