A nine-goal second quarter turned a close game into a rout, as Shaker pulled away for a 23-2 Suburban Council boys lacrosse victory over Columbia Wednesday.
The score was 5-2 before Shaker’s second quarter spurt. The Blue Bison added six goals in the third quarter and three in the fourth to complete the rout.
Tim Leahey had six goals and two assists, while Liam King contributed four goals for Shaker. Nick Dodd chipped in with three goals and four helpers, and Stephen Rehfuss added two goals and six assists.
Peter Herrick and Tommy Hirt tallied in the first quarter for Columbia, and goaltender Nick Barone stopped 18 shots.
