Shaker scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and five more in the second on its way to a 9-1 Suburban Council baseball victory over Guilderland Thursday.
Pitcher Nick Gavin had a strong outing for the Blue Bison (6-0). Gavin allowed one run on three hits in 5.1 innings of work, and he struck out eight batters.
Tyler Hoffman had three singles, Tyler Oppelt contributed a pair of hits and Sean Egan added a double for Shaker.
Guilderland’s league record dipped to 1-4.
