Thanks to everyone who voted in last week’s Suburban Council boys basketball poll, which was won by Colonie’s Jake Samuels. This week, we want to know what is the best high school hockey rivalry in our area. Here are your choices:
Bethlehem vs. Shenendehowa — This game has become very competitive in recent years, and as fate would have it, the Eagles host the Plainsmen Saturday.
Bethlehem vs. Shaker/Colonie — The Eagles and the Jets have already staged two very close games, with each team earning a one-goal victory.
CBA vs. Shaker/Colonie — The annual battle for Albany County Hockey Facility bragging rights takes place Saturday, and the house should be packed.
Saratoga vs. Shenendehowa — This is sort of unfair since these two schools could make competitive staring a heated battle, but it’s always intense when the Blue Streaks and Plainsmen meet on the ice.
Shaker/Colonie vs. Shenendehowa — This is a crazy weekend for the Jets as they face the Plainsmen Friday before meeting CBA Saturday.
Voting will be open until midnight Monday, so make your voice heard today by participating in this week’s poll.
