Saratoga Springs improved its record to 2-0-0 with Friday’s 7-1 Capital District High School Hockey league victory over Christian Brothers Academy at the Albany County Hockey Facility in Colonie.
Ryan Flynn had two goals and an assist for the Blue Streaks, who pulled away with a four-goal third period. Nick Winters also tallied twice, while Tyler Bullard contributed a goal and two assists.
Chris O’Keefe had CBA’s lone goal, and goaltender Kyle Stockman made 30 saves. The Brothers’ record dropped to 1-2-1.
In other hockey action Friday, Section V power McQuaid of Rochester scored the first four goals of the game on its way to a 6-2 victory over Shenendehowa at Clifton Park Arena.
Michael Campbell had a goal and an assist to lead a balanced attack for McQuaid. Ryan Talty, Christian Leonardi, Jared Tallo and Tyler Gokey also scored goals.
Brad Tardif and Ryan Mortka tallied for the Plainsmen (0-2-0).
