Saratoga Springs dominated the first Suburban Council `super meet` Wednesday at Saratoga Spa State Park.
Saratoga’s boys and girls teams each finished with 4-0 records at the meet. The Bethlehem and Colonie boys teams also earned 4-0 marks in the head-to-head match-ups, as did the Guilderland girls team.
Saratoga runners swept the top three places in the girls race. Taylor Driscoll led the Blue Streaks with a winning time of 17:23.15. Keelin Hollowood was second with a time of 18:16.69, and Olivia Morrow placed third with a time of 18:17.48. Shaker’s Maryanna Lansing was the first non-Saratoga runner across the finish line with a fourth-place time of 18:25.84.
Columbia’s Kyle Gronostaj was the top male runner with a time of 15:42.47. Shenendehowa’s Dan Janeczko finished second with a time of 15:53.27, and Saratoga’s Aidan Tooker placed third with a time of 15:53.95.
All 12 league teams participated in the meet, which was scored in the same way a regular season duel meet is scored. Each team had its results compared to three opponents, and the team with the lower point total won.
