The Colonie 12u All Star team made it to the finals of the Cal Ripken Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament before falling to Springfield, Pennsylvania, 15-14 in extra innings.
Colonie went 4-2 over the five-day tournament in Mountainside New Jersey.
After winning the North Eastern New York championship, the team beat Northern New Jersey 7-4 on Thursday, July 14, beat Maryland 15-0 on Friday, July 15 before falli9ng to Springfield in 22-9. It rounded out pool play on Saturday, July 16 by beating Southern New Jersey and 9-8.
In the quarterfinals, on Sunday, Colonie beat East Fishkill 4-1 before falling to Springfield in the finals on Monday.
Springfield will travel to Missouri to play in the Cal Ripken World Series.
