LATHAM — The Bison gave up three runs in the top of the seventh to drop a Suburban Council matchup to Troy 6-3.

Troy jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one and added two more in the third but Shaker tied it up after scoring two runs in the fourth and another in the fifth.

Joey Trombley went six innings for The Bison giving up five runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking three. Andrew Dongelewic pitched a portion of the seventh and gave up a run on two hits while walking two and Tommy Case rounded out the inning by allowing one hit and striking out one.

Case went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Shaker while Joe Karpierz went 2 for 4. Same Case, Justin Smith and Jack Montalto each added hits.

David Keddell-Tuckey and Austin Francis split the pitching duties for Troy giving up three runs on seven hits while striking out 11 and walking one.

Tuckey went 3 for 4  and Bobby Facto went 2 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the Flying Horses.

It was Shaker’s first conference loss of the season and the Bison played Guilderland after this paper went to print and will play at Burnt Hills on Wednesday, April 20.
