BETHLEHEM — Behind a perfect game by standout Anna Cleary, The Eagles defeated Saratoga 7-0 in a Suburban Council matchup on Tuesday, April 2.
On the mound, Cleary struck out 11 and didn’t walk any and the Bethlehem defense didn’t commit an error to prevent a Saratoga running from reaching first base.
With the bat, the senior went 1 for 3 with two RBIs.
After three scoreless innings, Bethlehem scored three in the fourth, another in the fifth and three more in the seventh to go to 4-0 on the season in the Suburban Council.
Ella Traynor and Katherine Saunders both had three hits on the day with an RBI each to lead the Bethlehem offense. Emma Losee went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Elle Lyda went 2 for 4 and Mackenzie Kawczak went 1 for 3.
Bella Labate and Jackie Cutting split the pitching duties for Saratoga, giving up a combined seven runs on 12 hits while walking two and striking out five.
Bethlehem will play at Colonie this afternoon and play at Columbia on Thursday, April 14.
