ALBANY — The Guilderland boys basketball season came to an end in a tight game that ended in Albany High’s favor, 59-51.
The two tames were knotted at 44 after three periods of play and at 51 with just under two minutes to play, but the No. 5 Falcons scored the last eight points in the game including a three at the buzzer by senior standout Isaiah Austin.
Mitch MacKissock led Guilderland with 16 while Liam Teague had 12 and Benjamin Fiori had eight.
Austin led all scorers with 23 while Malachi Perry had 14 and Deavion Springsteen had 9.
Albany will now play No. 4 seed Shen, which got by No. 13 Schenectady, in the Class AA quarterfinals on Saturday, Feb. 26.
