BETHLEHEM — The Eagles skated to a 3-3 tie against Adirondack on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the YMCA.
Adirondack (7-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in Section II) jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the first period but Bethlehem (8-3-3, 6-2-2) pulled within one on a goal by Jackson Adams with under five seconds left in the period.
Bethlehem scored two in the second period — Adams got his second and Dane Jones scored — to take a 3-2 lead but Adirondack scored an unanswered in the third to end the game in a tie.
Tyler Carruthers, Matt Perrotte and Jillian Willis scored for Adirondack.
In goal, Bethlehem’s Rory Cairns had 34 saves and Andy Buser had 25 for ADK.
Bethlehem is in third with 11.5 points in the Section II High School Hockey League behind Albany Academy, 13 points, and league leading Shenendehowa, 13.5 points.
Bethlehem will square off at Albany Academy on Monday, Jan. 31 and host the Storm on Wednesday, Feb. 2.
