GUILDERLAND — The Lady Dutch lost a hard-fought opening game to Shen 1-0 on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Ava Caputo scored the game’s only goal for Shen while Molly DiCaprio had a busy day in goal for the Dutch, making 20 saves.
Saturday marked the opener for a host of Suburban Council soccer teams, sans Ballston Spa and Bethlehem, who are opting to play next spring during Fall Season II.
A number of leagues in Section II opened Saturday with only two spectators per player allowed in the fence to watch. All fans and spectators are required to wear masks at all times.
Guilderland will next play at Niskayuna on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and then at Saratoga on Saturday, Oct. 11.
