COLONIE — The Shaker High boys and girls golf teams earned bragging rights after beating their cross-town rivals from Colonie High on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The Shaker boys won by a total score of 256 to 303 at the Town of Colonie Golf Course with Joe Teson shooting a 38 and Ryan Murphy a 40. For Colonie Ryan Mathew led with the way with a 47.
On the girls side, Shaker shot a combined 186 to Colonie’s 244. Emily Bette shot a 42 to lead Shaker while Hanna Byun shot a 45. Abby Mesick carded a 57 for Colonie.
Colonie will travel to Western Turnpike to take on Guilderland Shaker while the Shaker boys will play CBA and the girls will square off against Albany Academies.
