Bethlehem Softball League 8U took to the field for the first time this fall at Line Drive Park on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
There was not an official score kept as the 8U Black played 8U Orange team on a beautiful late summer night. Safe to say, there were a lot of players who crossed the plate, and just about everyone got a hit.
The patient, enthusiastic, encouraging parent/coaches handed out a lot of tips that included “you can tag them, but you can’t throw the ball at them.” The player looked a bit confused since on paper it is a more efficient method of stopping an opposing baserunner from advancing.
Fall Ball kicked off for all ages and will continue through the middle of October.
