BETHLEHEM — The Eagles ended the season on a high note, first by honoring the senior basketball players and cheerleaders and then by beating a tough Niskayuna team 56-50.
Bethlehem heads into the Class AA post season the No. 4 seed and will host the No. 13 seed Albany High on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the first round. Nisky is the No. 5 seed and will host Ballston Spa, the 12 seed.
The top three seeds get a first round bye. They are in order, Shen, Green Tech and Saratoga.
In the Nisky game, Bethlehem’s Will Davis led all scorers with 16. Orlando DiBacco had 14 and Marko Gibbons had 13.
For Niskayuna, Ethan St. Lucia had 15, Gabe Eldaye had 14 and Sean St. Lucia had 13.
The Bethlehem girls are the No. 7 seed and they will host Catholic Central, the No. 10 seed, on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. The winner will play Shen, the No. 2 seed, on Thursday, Feb. 27.
