SPOTTED: Bethlehem boys beat Colonie in OT

BETHLEHEM — In overtime, the Eagles beat the Raiders in Suburban Council matchup on Friday, Feb. 14 by a score of 59-56.

With one game left in the regular season, a makeup game against Niskayuna that was snowed out, The Eagles stand at 11-3, in second place to undefeated Shenendehowa in the competitive Blue Division. Niskayuna and Saratoga are at 10-3. With the loss, Colonie slides to 9-5 and 14-6 overall with one game left.

Bethlehem started out slow and fell behind 17-8 after the first quarter and were down 24-20 at the half. The Eagles, though, had a strong third quarter, outscoring Colonie 17-10.

Colonie’s Marcus Shelton led all scorers on Friday with 19 points while Victor Pharr had 11. Will Davis had 15 to lead Bethlehem while Marko Gibbons had 14 and Kendrick McCann had 13.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18 Bethlehem will host Nisky and Colonie will host Saratoga.
