GLENVILLE — Bethlehem took sole possession of first place in the Capital District High School Hockey League after beating The Storm 2-0 on Friday, Jan. 24.
Jackson Carroll scored both goals for The Eagles while Justin Chenaille had an assist. Mike Kurdziolek had 21 saves for Bethlehem and Ryan McKone had 31 for The Storm.
With the win, The Eagles move to 8-1 in conference play and 14-1 overall. The squad has 13 points, one ahead of Saratoga (7-2, 11-4) and three ahead of the Storm. Bethlehem’s only loss came against CBA on Dec. 13, 2019, the first conference game of the season for both teams.
The Storm, a team made up of students from Guilderland, Mohonasen, Schalmont, Voorheesville and Scotia, won their first six CDHSHL games and are now 6-1 and 7-4 overall.
Tonight, Bethlehem will play the Mohawks (1-7, 1-12-1) at Union College at 6 p.m. and the Storm will play the Capital District Jets (2-7, 3-9) at the Albany County Hockey Facility at 6:35 p.m.
