SPOTTED: Bethlehem boys beat Nisky; swim to 5-0

BETHLEHEM — The Eagles’ boys swim team moved to 5-0 on the season with a 106-80 win over the squad from Niskayuna on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The Bethlehem team of Max Kaback, David Berin, Joey Chiarella and Jason Wu won the 200-yard medley with a time of 1:42.75. Chiarella won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.33; John Janeski won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23:06; Wu, Andres Baum, Josh Zheng and Keith Winnie won the 200-yard relay with a time of 1:34.05; Kaback won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.86; and Wu, Chiarella, Kaback and John Janeski won the 400-yard freestyle.

Sean Leslie places second in the diving competition with a score of 243.10, 7.6 points behind Conor Compton of Niskayuna, which fell to 2-1 with the loss to Bethlehem.

Bethlehem will swim at Shen on Thursday, Jan. 23.
