RENSSELAER — The Bethlehem boys volleyball team swept Columbia in the Section II, Division 1 semifinals setting up a rematch of last year’s championship against Shen.
The Eagles, the No. 2 seed, took three straight sets against a tough, No. 3 seed Columbia team. The first two went to Bethlehem 25-16 and 25-20.
Shen, the No. 1 seed, beat No 8 seed Niskayuna and then No. 4 seed Saratoga in straight sets to earn its ninth consecutive appearance in the finals. Shen won the last four championships.
Bethlehem got by No. 7 seed Guilderland before beating Columbia at Rensselaer High School.
The championship will be at Rensselaer on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
