RAVENA — The Indians jumped out with four runs in the first inning and never looked back, despite Tamarac scoring three in the last to pull within a run.
Tyrell Irvis led Ravena (4-3) at the plate, going 4 for 4 with four RBIs and scoring twice. Spencer Brown went 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI while David Close went 2-4 with a double and an RBI and Aiden Carlisle went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
Tristen Nemjo went 3-4 with two doubles and a home run for Tamarac. Will Johnson went 2 for 4.
Noah Algozzine started the game for Ravena and gave up three runs on two hits and three walks over two innings. Spencer Kane pitched the next inning and gave up a run on a hit while walking three and striking out one. Adam Wells went the next three and a third giving up three runs on four hits while walking five and striking out one. Spencer Brown came in to get the last out with the bases loaded.
Jack Mays, Ryan Derby and Greg Mays split the pitching duties for Tamarac giving up a combined eight runs on 10 hits while walking five and striking out four.
