BETHLEHEM — The Eagles advanced to the second round on Friday, Feb. 15, by beating Catholic Central High School 61-37.
The No. 7 seed Bethlehem will play No. 2 Albany High at Albany on Thursday, Feb. 21. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Albany got a bye in the first round.
Bethlehem dominated the No. 10 Catholic Central, jumping out to a nine-point lead after the first quarter and taking a 33 to 19 lead into the half.
Eagles guard Ava LaClair led all scorers with 16 while her teammate Julia Harvey had 15 and Caroline Wise, Langston Williams and Kelly Maney had eight points each. Kiersten Murray, Maren Louridas and Emma Black had a bucket apiece to round out the scoring for Bethlehem.
Sarah Mattfield had 14 for CCHS, Riygia Harris had seven and Brooke Curtain had six.
