BETHLEHEM — Sixteen girls flag football teams took to the field on Friday, Oct. 12, as part of Homecoming Weekend to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.
The night had more of a party atmosphere than an athletic event with the players and male student coaches and refs donning crazy costumes and face paint. But, there was some football played, albeit a variation of what is seen on television Sunday afternoons.
According to Twitter, congrats goes to “Spectrum News for taking home the chip,” but the photographer, admittedly, is not sure what team that was and didn’t see any chip.
It was, though, a good time had by all … and for a worthy cause.
