CLIFTON PARK — Awolnation is to stop at Upstate Concert Hall on Friday, June 15, at 8 p.m., as it breezes through the area for its Here Come The Runs tour.
The alternative rock band out of Los Angeles earned commercial success with its 2011 release of “Megalithic Symphony.” On the strength of its Top 20 hit “Sail,” the album is certified platinum. “Sail”, which peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, and No. 4 on the Billboard Rock Songs charts, is a six-time certified platinum track, with more than five million copies sold in the United States.
Dropped in February, “Hear Come The Runts” is the band’s fourth album in eight years.

TROY — Baseball is back at The Joe as the Tri-City Valley Cats host the Vermont Lake Monsters on Sunday, June 17, at 5 p.m.
Celebrate Father’s Day by enjoying an all-you-can-eat picnic prior to the game.
Members of the team will read to the children in attendance. Lads and Lasses are encouraged to dress in their favorite pirate and princess gear. Those who partake will receive a copy of the book (while supplies last), courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Troy. Gates open at 3 p.m. for Sunday Funday, sponsored by St. Peter’s Health Partners. At 4 p.m., there is a pregame catch on the field, and kids run the bases postgame.
