BETHLEHEM – The Plainsmen shut out the Eagles on Wednesday, April 18, by a score of 3-0 behind a stellar one-hit performance by Shen’s Mitch Wright and Brendan Disonell.
The Eagles lone hit came off the bat of Brian Bolduc in the sixth inning of another frigid day on the diamond.
Wright retired the first 12 Eagle batters in a row before giving up a walk to Trey Sgroi to lead off the Sixth. Disonell came in to pitch the last and retired the Eagles in order.
Wright struck out eight and walked one.
For the Eagles, Arlo Marynczak and Jeff Hammond combined for three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out seven.
