COLONIE – The Raiders won the inaugural Colonie Cup on Saturday, April 14, on a frigid, windy day at Christian Brothers Academy.
In morning action, Colonie edged CBA 3-2. Colonie then beat cross-town public high rival Shaker 2-1 in the early afternoon game on a suicide squeeze by Mike Lavigna to score Ryan Mcgee in the bottom of the 10th.
In the final game of the day, with the wind whipping and the temperatures plummeting, the Shaker beat CBA 7-6.
