Five Suburban Council boys soccer players were named to the All-New York large school team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Thursday, Dec. 15.
Bethlehem’s Kevin Piccolino, Shenendehowa’s Trevor Chung and Ballston Spa’s Schuyler Mann were second team selections, while Guilderland’s Tyler Landry and Shen’s David Benson earned fourth team recognition.
Eight Section 2 soccer players were chosen for the small school All-New York team — Fort Ann’s Tyler Ward (first team), Maple Hill’s Garrett Axtmann (second team), Stillwater’s Brady Cepiel (third team), Ichabod Crane’s George Cox (third team), Broadalbin-Perth’s Stephen Spraker and Ian Halloran (fourth team), Schalmont’s R.J. Hayden (fifth team) and Fort Ann’s Tyler Mattison (fifth team).
The New York State Sportswriters Association will weigh in with its boys soccer All-State teams in the coming days.
