LATHAM — Shaker fended off Bethlehem 10-9 in the Section 2 Class A girls lacrosse semifinals Tuesday, May 24.

The Blue Bison built a 4-3 lead during a rainy first half and then matched the Lady Eagles goal for goal in the second half to pull out the victory.

Lauren Martuscello recorded a hat trick, while Kailey Dodd, Maeve Lennon and Cait Wood all added a pair of goals for Shaker. Sophie Powers scored three goals, while Sophia Calabrese and Natalie Cook each tallied twice for Bethlehem.

Shaker meets the winner of Wednesday’s Class A semifinal game between Shenendehowa and Guilderland in this weekend’s championship game.
