The Guilderland Nighthawks won the recent Utica Wood Bat Tournament as they prepared for their trip to the Cooperstown Field of Dreams complex.
The Nighthawks upheld their No. 1 seeding entering the tour-nament by winning the cham-pionship game in 12 innings. They allowed the fewest runs out of the nine teams that com-peted in Utica.
The Nighthawks — a team comprised of Pine Bush American and National Little League players — will compete againt 103 other teams from across the country during their week-long stay in Cooperstown Aug. 23-30.
