Before the match, Hilland and Kramer were honored along with Kyle Ray for their service to the Sage men’s volleyball team. The three seniors are hoping to guide the Gators to the Skyline Conference Tournament title Saturday in New Jersey.
In other college sports action Wednesday, the Sage women’s lacrosse team lost to the College of Mount Saint Vincent 17-4. Academy of the Holy Names grad Alexa Pajak tallied twice for the Gators, and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk alumn Lindsay Millett added an assist.
In junior college men’s lacrosse, Hudson Valley Community College defeated Herkimer County Community College 17-4 Wednesday. Bethlehem graduates Liam Christiansen (three goals) and Eric Halek (two goals) contributed to the Vikings offense.
Elsewhere, Shaker graduate Erica Thibodeau drove in the lone run for the Bentley University softball team in an 8-1 loss to Merrimack in the first game of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader. Thibodeau launched a first-inning double to drive home Shannon Connor.
Thibodeau’s RBI double was the only run Bentley managed, as Merrimack added a 4-0 victory in the nightcap.
