Awesome day, Sept. 27, the sixth year of the Race for Hope sponsored by Capital Region Special Surgery.
Each year the event gets bigger , this year 320 runners and walkers enjoyed a sometimes competitive, but always friendly and fun day. The weather always seems to be beautiful on this early fall day, this year was no exception.
While there were winners in different categories,the real winner was the Community Foundation who received the race proceeds so that it could make donations to area charities.
A special thank you to Drs. Ed and Sara Scheid and Capital Region Special Surgery who made the morning special for the runners and walkers.
Thanks also to the Bethlehem Police Department, Highway Department and Ambulance Corps for making the streets safe for running and all the volunteers from Capital Region Special Surgery and elsewhere, you do a great job.
Looking forward to another great event in 2015.
