Editor, The Spotlight;
Bethlehem residents support eight parks, as well as numerous recreational activities. Do you use them? Are you satisfied with them? In your opinion, how could they be improved? The Bethlehem Parks and Recreation Department needs your input to better serve you.
I am writing to encourage every Bethlehem resident to take the 2014 Parks and Recreation Survey online at friendsofbethlehemparks.org. Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation is conducting this survey to understand how the Town can best meet the needs and desires of its residents with respect to the provision of parks and recreational services.
Personally, I believe that our parks and recreational activities are outstanding. Can they be improved? Of course. Demographics change, recreational trends change. And our parks and recreational offerings need to adapt accordingly. How? I have my ideas — what about you? Please don’t pass up this opportunity to participate in the decisions that affect the parks and recreational activities you support.
Will everyone’s wish list be granted? No, unfortunately. I think we all understand that resources are not unlimited. Will every response receive serious consideration? I guarantee you that it will. But first it’s up to you to respond — visit friendsofbethlehemparks.org and please take the survey today.
