Editor, The Spotlight:
I want to sincerely thank the many residents of Bethlehem who elected me to be the next town justice. I am truly grateful for the outpouring of support I received on Election Day and pledge to dedicate myself to the role of town justice for the next four years. During my term, I will work tirelessly to continue our town court’s excellent reputation for fairness and justice.
I wish to express my respect for my two opponents, Dale Desnoyers and Jim Kelly for the honorable, fair and tireless campaigns both gentlemen ran this year for this important town position. Dale and Jim are excellent attorneys and they and their supporters worked hard over the last several months. Our interactions on the campaign trail were always pleasant, cordial and in keeping with our shared commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
I wish to thank my family, friends, neighbors and supporters throughout our community. Without their ongoing help, advice, support and commitment my election would not have been possible. I asked much of them-organizing events, preparing mailings, making numerous telephones calls, and walking with me through Bethlehem’s many neighborhoods. My supporters gave their time and energy to my campaign and I am humbled by their tremendous efforts.
I would like to extend a special thank you to my law partner and mentor, Tom Conway. Simply put, I would not be the person I am today without his guidance and support over the last twenty years. The very qualities of integrity, hard work and professionalism that Bethlehem voters saw in me were largely instilled by Tom. I am glad he can share in my election success, for a large part of it is owed to him.
In closing, I am very excited to serve as your next town justice, and over the next four years I look forward to bringing the same experience, integrity and professionalism to the bench that I employed as your town prosecutor. Bethlehem can rest assured that its newest judge will endeavor to serve the community with the fairness they deserve, and the character they expect.
