Editor, The Spotlight:
There has been much to admire about Assemblyman Jack McEneny. I was proud that such an involved and knowledgeable man represented citizens in the Albany area and felt some sadness when he announced his retirement. He deserves a long and happy one.
For these reasons, I took a special interest in all of the candidates who seek to replace him in the 109th Assembly District. After much consideration, I feel that only Patricia Fahy can provide the level of experience, involvement and wisdom that the people of the 109th have enjoyed in the past.
Not only does Pat have the energy, vision and commitment we should expect from our representative, but she also has several years of community and governmental experience that bring skills and qualities lacked by the other candidates. She has an extensive background advocating for education and working people, while keeping focus on fiscal responsibility. She understands the problems facing schools, labor, business and communities from her own experiences. She knows how government works and how to make it work for us.
I urge you to vote for this remarkable woman on September 13th as the best way to continue the quality of representation that we need in the NYS Assembly.
