What a pleasure to read in your poetry column this week such an engaging and image-filled poem by a high school student from our region! The opportunity for authors of all genres to be published is so remote that to afford exposure of this kind in your publication must be applauded, especially on behalf of an aspiring young writer such as Taylor Tewksbury. Kudos to you and to Mimi Moriarty for attracting and selecting this delightfully mirthful poem and, of course, to you, Taylor, for writing it.
