Editor, The Spotlight:
My name is Jeremy Martelle and I’m one of the Republican and Conservative endorsed candidates running for Bethlehem Town Board. I’ve always felt that being active in the community is extremely important. I am currently volunteering my time as a board member for School’s Out Inc. an afterschool program; serving as Third Vice Commander of The American Legion Post 1040; and most recently was elected Board Secretary for the Bethlehem Public Library.
Out of control spending, lack of capital planning, and the inability of our town leadership to work together to address major infrastructure problems will continue to negatively impact our town budget. We need town board members with proven leadership skills and experience in dealing with both the public and private sector economies. As a proven fiscal conservative, I will make it my number one priority to protect our tax dollars and vote against wasteful spending. I will demand better accountability for departmental budgets and use my experience in capital planning, business development, and operating large government managed facilities to assist the town in preparing for its future.
As a current 20 year Senior Air Force Non-commissioned Officer, I understand the meaning of commitment and thus am committed to working on behalf of the residents of our Town to plan for our future and protect our quality of life. I respectfully ask you to vote for me, Jeremy Martelle for Bethlehem Town Board this November 8th.
