Editor, The Spotlight:
I want to start by saying a simple Thank You.
Thank you to the many friends, neighbors, and town residents who have been so kind to me and my family throughout this election-year process and who have encouraged me to press on and ensure Bethlehem voters have a choice this November. I am still on the ballot as a candidate. I’m on two lines and the voters can choose from among three candidates who all care deeply about this community we call home. I would be honored to have your vote for town supervisor.
Do you care deeply about our community’s future? Have you had enough of high taxes and high spending, and are you concerned about residential and economic development? If the answer is yes, please consider me for town supervisor. I too share those concerns.
As you are interviewing candidates to be our next town CEO, do you want someone who has actual hands-on experience with town budgets and this town’s management? Would you want someone who can walk in and do the job immediately? If the answer is yes, consider me for town supervisor. I am ready and prepared for the job.
Would you want someone with a proven record of community involvement and someone with both private and public sector experience to better market our town’s resources and bring positive economic development and jobs to our community? If the answer is yes, please consider me for town supervisor. I have that experience.
Would you support a candidate who successfully fought to lower your taxes, responsibly reduce town spending, cut borrowing in half, reduce spending our savings by over sixty percent, reduce our overtime budget, put highway paving back on the road to “pay as you go,” and is committed to a capital plan with increased investments in our aging infrastructure? If the answer is yes, consider me for town supervisor. I am fighting for those positions now.
Do you also want a town leader who is involved with our youth groups, has supported senior programs, and is a member of community organizations like the Grange, American Legion, Bethlehem Chamber and Bethlehem Historical Association? If the answer is yes, please consider me for town supervisor. I am dedicated to our community.
Do you want a leader who actually helps clean the streets after a storm or snow, who personally delivers meals to seniors, and picks up trash at our community clean-up days? If the answer is yes, please consider me for your town supervisor. I am committed to hands-on helping. Finally, do you want someone who will listen to you, take time to meet with you, tell you the truth, and work hard for our town each and every day? Do you want someone who will not tax you a dollar more than is absolutely necessary and seek to spend every dollar wisely? If the answer is yes, please consider me for your town supervisor. I live here too and we’re all in this together. Kyle Kotary
