Attendees will take a walk back in time to visit the historic Knox School House #5. Please register to visit this one room schoolhouse, constructed in 1898, and restored by the Helderberg Kiwanis Club. It is the only building in Knox currently in the National Register of Historic Places. We will be meeting at the Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 19.
Bricks, Bits, and Bots
Children in grades K-5 are invited to join us on Mon., Feb. 21, to celebrate Engineers Week! You will use the library LEGO® bricks for building, littleBits for inventing, and Ozobots to learn easy coding. Please register for either the morning (10:30 – noon), or the afternoon (2 – 3:30 p.m.).
Native American Storytelling
Standing Woman, a Mohawk Turtle Clan member, storyteller, and educator at Heldeberg Workshop, will entertain and educate as she shares Native American stories highlighting her native oral tradition. Oral storytelling is a way to honor, respect, and keep the history of Indigenous peoples alive. This program is recommended for children ages 7 and up.
