“The Middle Years” is a four-part parenting program that focuses on parents/caregivers with children from ages 5 – 10. Participants may attend one (11/5), two (11/12), three (11/19), or all four (12/3) of the workshop sessions, all of which will run from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. This program will include resources and information relevant to the impact of COVID-19 on parenting and children, including strategies to better manage challenges in the current school year for remote, hybrid or in-person learners. Additional topics will include strategies for managing parent and child stress, understanding parenting styles, raising responsible children with positive discipline strategies, and improving family communication and strengthening family relationships. The sessions will be conducted in partnership with the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County by Maria Delucia-Evans, a trained parent educator. Please register online for each one hour session you would like to attend. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed to those who register prior to each session.
