Dear editor,
Walking by the middle school today (Wednesday) around noon when kids were apparently being dismissed after ½ day session, I passed several groups of kids in groups of 8 or 10 walking shoulder to shoulder without masks. It’s a lot to ask and heartbreaking to contemplate that they must keep their distance from each other and mask when they have been deprived of socializing with their friends all summer, But if they don’t we’ll be in trouble…especially if some might be living in homes where their older siblings who have been sent home from colleges with COVID have exposed them. We have been doing so well in Bethlehem. I implore parents and teachers to impress on their children and students the dangers of letting up our guard.
