BETHLEHEM LIBRARY: A trivia night for film fanatics
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Let’s read our way through summer together! If you haven’t already signed up for our Imagine Your Story: Summer Reading Challenge, there’s still time. It’s easy, fun for kids and adults, and it can be done entirely online! Go to bethlehempubliclibrary.org/summer-reading-2020 to get started because what’s better than reading? Reading AND earning prizes for it!

While in-person events are still off the table for the time being, we’re holding virtual programs throughout the summer that allow you to participate in some of the shared experiences that have traditionally been a part of Summer Reading at the library.

This week’s virtual activities:

Make your mark with our summer bookmark design contest! There are categories for all ages, and the winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed this fall. Details: bethlehempubliclibrary.org/5050-2.

Librarian Kate Lambert is back with another whimsical paper craft that fits in nicely with this year’s Summer Reading theme – Imagine Your Story. Watch her create colorful winged horses in her latest YouTube tutorial here: bit.ly/2BWNC0y. Or just search for it on the library’s YouTube channel.

Celebrate Summer Reading and all the beautiful places in our community with a photo scavenger hunt. Twice a month, in July and August, we will post a scavenger hunt theme here and on social media and invite you to take and share pictures of things in our community that fall into that theme. It’s easy to share your photos. Submit them as a reply to our theme posts on Facebook or tag us on Instagram #BPLScavengerHunt. By submitting a photo, you give the library permission to use it in an online photo gallery.

CHALLENGE 1: Summer is here! What says summer to you? Is it the park? Is it your pool? Is it ice cream? No, do not look directly at the sun if you take a picture of the sun!

Save The Date

July 21 at 11 a.m.: Jester Jim is bringing his Virtual Comedy Show to a live broadcast exclusive to the library. Visit our website at bethlehempubliclibrary.org and click on the “calendar” tab for the link.
