Bring hope and warmth to others! Help the Voorheesville Public Library decorate our Giving Tree with handmade or store bought mittens, scarves, hats, and socks. The Library will be accepting donations from December 1 through January 13.
All donations will be distributed to one or more local agencies that support children, families and adults who may not have the necessary winter outwear.
Musical Storytime
On Tuesday, January 7, at 10 a.m., Matt Yeager from Music Together will be offering a special music filled morning of rhythm, song, dance, and instruments! Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for ages 0-4 and their accompanying caregiver. Please register for this special storytime.
Family Winter STEAM
On Saturday, January 11, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., children ages 3 to K with caregiver will explore, play and learn at a STEAM program. Think cold, think cool, think chilly winter fun! Join Ms. Amy and Ms. Lisa for a snow-tastic day of winter themed STEAM! Stations may include snowman shape matching, playing with snow-dough, making a neat optical illusion called a Thaumatrope, and as a special treat, ICE CREAM making! It’s never too cold for that! Toddler Yoga & Music Time
Bring your toddler and join us for a fun, creative and playful FREE yoga class, from 6 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 14. Toddler Yoga & Music allows the youngest of beginners to use their imaginations as they learn simple yoga poses, playful breathing exercises and relaxation. The class incorporate songs, musical instruments, and games as an introduction to Yoga. Tricia Kandefer is a certified yoga instructor, who specializes in working with young children and families.
