I write in support of Dan Coffey for Bethlehem Town Board. Last year, Dan was elected to a one-year term and he is now running for a full term.
Since joining our town board, Dan has shown himself to be thoughtful and informed on issues such as:
updating our town Comprehensive Plan
the need to increase parkland set aside fees that developers pay to enhance our town
the importance of a 6-month moratorium on dangerous vaping shops in town
the benefits to all of us from a Forest and Farms preservation fund
giving town residents an opportunity to save money with renewable energy through a Community Choice Aggregation program.
Dan is also looking to enhance services and linkage to local businesses from our wonderful rail trail, and to protect our heritage by working with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy and Albany County Land Bank. He hopes to make our town more sustainable by adding electric vehicle charging stations, converting street lamps to efficient lighting, and adding bike lanes and pedestrian sidewalks.
I believe a vote for Dan Coffey is a vote for a great future for Bethlehem and a great future for our children.
