Curious about using cloth diapers?  They’re a desirable choice for environmentally-conscious parents, but the idea can be overwhelming.  Amber Chavez, owner of The Bundle Store in Ballston Spa, will be on hand Saturday,  Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. to answer your questions and share tips to make cloth diapering both manageable and affordable.  Please register online, by phone or in person.

Feelin’ Groovy

Time travel back with us at Guilderland Library Foundation’s 4th Annual Gala, a Feelin’ Groovy Celebration, on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Albany Country Club.

Attendees are welcome to don 1960s or 1970s-themed attire if desired.  Cash bar and silent auction commence at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, honoree presentation and live auction starting at 7 p.m.  Tickets for this library fundraiser are $75 each, and the event is expected to sell out.  To purchase tickets online via PayPal, please see the Guilderland Library Foundation Facebook page or www.guilderlandlibrary.org/gala. Checks made out to Guilderland Library Foundation may be mailed to: GLF, 2228 Western Avenue, Guilderland, NY 12084, Attention: Gala. Contact Foundation President Steve Wacksman at [email protected], or Library Director Tim Wiles at 518.456.2400 ext. 113 for questions.

Toddlers

Join us on Monday afternoons to help your toddler thrive, starting Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m.  This five-class series bolsters toddler movement and coordination through props, hands-on techniques, and various play activities.  Socialization, cognitive thinking, and language acquisition are also covered.  The developmental age range for this class:  pushing back on their belly to standing independently.  Please register online, by phone or in person.
