VOORHEESVILLE LIBRARY: The MAGIC Years

Join us at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8. This month, “An Irish immigrant lands in 1950s Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance with a local. When her past catches up with her, however, she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.” 2015 1h 57m (IMDB). Light refreshments will be served. No registration required.

Magic the Gathering

Magic the Gathering is the world’s most popular strategy card game. During a match, players cast devastating spells, summon creatures of legend, and wield powerful artifacts to best their opponents in a battle of wits. Free decks are available for beginners, come learn to play. Already know how? Join us from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 and find new opponents and pick up some free booster cards to build your deck. All ages, please register.

Save the Date

The Friends of the Library (FOL) Annual Book Sale is Sept. 20 to 22. For FOL members, sneak preview sale begins on Friday, Sept. 20, from 2 p.m. to dusk. If you are not yet a member, you can join at the door for $10. For everyone else, please join us on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are literally thousands of items available for your entertainment pleasure. Book donations are now being accepted.
