VOORHEESVILLE LIBRARY: The MAGIC Years

Join magician and juggler Scott Jameson, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 20, for an extraordinary performance.

Umbrellas will be plucked from thin air, a drawing will come to life, basketballs will be spun and juggled, and the audience will travel through time.

Top readers and grand prize winners of the Summer Reading Program will be announced and prizes awarded.

All ages are welcome to attend.

No registration required.

Upcycled bird feeders

Teens and adults are welcome to join us on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m., to use your creativity and imagination to recycle/upcycle all manner of plastic bottles.

We will be creating bird feeders for use in your garden, or outside your kitchen window, or wherever you would like to hang it.  All materials will be provided.

Please register.

Kindergarten Readiness

Children entering kindergarten, and their parents, are invited to join us on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m., for a fun-filled and educational evening where the soon-to-be-kindergarteners can hone their kindergarten-readiness skills at activity/learning centers.

Let’s celebrate this important and exciting milestone.

ENCORE! Books

ENCORE! Books hours are Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursdays, 3:30 to 7 p.m. All donations will be accepted at the sheds during open hours or by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please email the FOL at [email protected] The fall book sale date is Sept. 20-22.

Registering for programs helps us to determine supply needs. Unless otherwise indicated, registration is requested for all programs. You can register in person, by phone (518-765-2791) or using our online calendar at http://voorheesvillelibrary.org/calendar.asp.
