Live jazz with Tanager

Monday, April 8, at 6 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of toe-tapping live music with local traditional jazz band Tanager. Specializing in the works of Louis Armstrong’s Hot Five, Sidney Bechet, King Oliver and many others as well as old timey arrangements of more modern tunes, Tanager is a five-piece band featuring upright bass, guitar, clarinet, drums, saxophone, and vocals.

North Eastern New  York Orchid Society

Saturday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m.

This is our annual beginners’ meeting, focusing on what problems, successes, and questions folks have regarding, perhaps, their new interest, a gift orchid, or challenges in getting their orchid to re-bloom.

Helping us through the maze of creating perfect conditions is Longwood Garden’s own orchid collection curator, Greg Griffis.
