Adult Coloring

Friday, March 8

2 to 4 p.m.

Unplug and de-stress with a meditative afternoon of adult coloring. Choose from a variety of colored pencils and intricate adult coloring pages, supplied by the library — or bring your own favorites.

Don’t forget, you can check out a coloring book from the library to bring home too.

Registration is required: online or by calling 518-810-0314.

The Battle of Bennington

Saturday, March 9

1 p.m.

In the summer of 1777, an invading army under British Gen. Burgoyne threatened to capture Albany and to cut off New England from the other rebellious colonies. Victory at Bennington paved the way for victory in the Battles of Saratoga and ultimately in the war itself. Historic Site Assistant David Pitlyk will deliver a presentation on the history of the Battle of Bennington, drawing from contemporary source material and archaeology.

The presentation will also touch on how the battle has been commemorated and interpreted over time.

Trivia Bingo Night

Monday, March 11

6:30 p.m.

Test your trivia knowledge — and luck — with four free rounds of trivia bingo, featuring prizes and a variety of multiple choice questions on four mystery topics. Adults and teens welcome. Registration is required: online or by calling 518-810-0314.

Cookbook Club

Thursday, March 14

7 p.m.

Explore a cookbook from the library’s collection, potluck style. The March cook book selection will be on reserve at the Information Desk starting on March 1.

Stop by to make a photocopy of a recipe from the book Big Dips you’d like to test out, then make the dish and bring it to the club meeting. Don’t forget to bring a serving utensil. At this inaugural meeting, we’ll enjoy taste testing everyone’s dishes and discussing the results, plus gather feedback about how often you’d like the club to meet and what cookbooks you’d be interested in trying out in the future. Registration is required: online or by calling 518-810-0314.

Crafternoons Springtime   Paint n’ Sip

Friday, March 15

2 p.m.

Come sip mocktails with us and create your own spring-themed art. Follow the instructor step by step, or paint your own masterpiece. Come prepared to get a little messy — an apron is suggested, or wear clothes you won’t mind getting a little paint on. All materials needed to create your painting are supplied.

A $5 material charge due at the door (cash only.) Registration is required: online or by calling 518-810-0314.
