Save the Dates
Dennis Sullivan will be our host for the Second Annual Winter Film Festival. This year, Dennis has chosen four directors/films that focus on life, death, dance, and subversion. Mark your calendars for Director Terry Jones, January 16; Director Michael Haneke, January 23; Federico Fellini, January 30; and Director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, February 13. All programs will start at 6 p.m., with discussion and insights. Light refreshments will be served. Check the library calendar or call for film title. No registration needed.
Book Clubs Galore
Have you tried one of our book clubs yet? There’s one for every age and reading preference. Our adult fiction group meets once a month at 7 p.m. Books & Beyond explores the same title as our evening fiction discussion, but meets at 11 a.m. The Nonfiction Book Discussion group meets every other month at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. The Kids Book Discussion group, for grades 2-3, meets every other month at 7 p.m. The “Not a Book Club” and the “Tween Book Bunch” each meet every other month at 7 p.m. Watch for information on our newest book club, Families Reading Together, for kids in grades K-3 with a caregiver. For more information about any of these groups, or if you have other ideas for book clubs, stop by and speak with a Librarian.
Registering for programs helps us to determine supply needs. Unless otherwise indicated, registration is requested for all programs. You can register in person, by phone (518-765-2791) or using our online calendar at http://voorheesvillelibrary.org/calendar.asp.
