On Saturday, December 1 at 3 p.m., and again on Sunday, December 2, at 3 p.m., The Marcus Rogers Dance Company, a dance training school in Guilderland Center, is putting on its first production of “The Nutcracker,” in the Library’s Helderberg Room.
“The Nutcracker” is the story of a young girl’s favorite Christmas toy that comes alive and whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls. This holiday classic is directed and choreographed by Marcus Rogers. Recommended for children ages 5 and older.
Sunday Concert
On Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m., the Library’s Helderberg Room will heat up when José Cruz, Walter Ramos, Fernando Gomes, and José Meléndez — Mundo Nuevo Latin Jazz — blend vocals with guitar, flute, bongó, and percussion to create one hot concert!
The quartet’s lively repertoire of Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Brazilian music – with a dash of what it calls “SalSinatra” – will have you up and moving about to the beat! Curious to know what SalSinatra might be? Come find out!
