Stop by the Library to welcome our new Director, Sarah Clark, who comes to us from the Albany Public Library. She is thrilled to be working in her home town library and would like to meet you. While here, be sure to check out the display case which is filled with items for the FOL Winter Boutique. Items will be for sale Dec. 1 & 2 in the community room, but check it out now in the display case. Also on display this month is the USS Slater Museum paintings in our hallway gallery.
Healthy You, Healthy Earth
Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 as we discuss the science of climate change, as well as the impact of this on our physical and mental well-being. Interspersed with erratic weather patterns, raging forest fires, stultifying drought, violent hurricanes, melting glaciers and flooding, acidifying oceans, we witness the plight of environmental refugees fleeing unspeakable upheaval. Local author Maia Boswell-Penc, Ph.D. will present both facts and solutions. No registration needed.
